SUMMER PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS 2010

Ffotogallery is pleased to announce our schedule of exciting summer photography workshops. We have a selection of fun hands-on day courses for adults, children and young people of all abilities.

About the Course Programme

Our accredited programme of photography and digital media courses run in association with University Wales Institute Cardiff, are held at our facilities in Chapter Arts Centre, Canton.

Introduction to Photography: Beginners

A practical course for beginners that takes the guesswork out of producing the picture you want. Suitable for either digital camera with manual controls or 35mm SLR.

Introduction to Photography: Intermediate

A broad practical course that builds on your photographic skills and introduces further techniques, approaches and photographic print processes. Learn how to produce high quality prints from your own negatives or digital files.

Advanced Digital Photography

Understand the development of new media in photography, and develop a broad practical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, digital photography techniques and equipment.

Black & White Photography

This course aims to develop a broad practical knowledge of all aspects of black and white photography and darkroom techniques.

Landscape Photography

This course explores images of the landscape within a historical context. Looking at time of day and weather conditions and how they influence the quality of light, evoking changing moods.

Photographing People

This course explores factors involved in producing insightful portraits, through photographing people in a variety of situations and lighting conditions.

Documentary Photography

This course will examine the history and practice of documentary photography, focusing on visual narrative and study of the work of photographers in this tradition.

Introduction to Digital Video

A practical course for beginners which introduces you to shooting and editing your own digital video on Final Cut Pro.

Constructed Images

Experiment with photographic representation using traditional and contemporary techniques including double exposure, pinhole, montage and digital manipulation.

Creative Web Design 1

As part of the Foundation Certificate in Creative Website Design, this core module introduces you to basic HTML and WYSIWYG design using Dreamweaver.

Creative Webdesign 2

This module will expand your web design skills to a professional standard. You will be using Photoshop, expand your knowledge of HTML, and incorporate basic javascript, forms, and CSS positioning using Dreamweaver.

Creative Web Design 3

This final module in the Foundation Certificate in Creative Website Design introduces you to Macromedia Flash MX, the industry standard for creating high-impact web sites.
