Ffotogallery is a major revenue client of the Arts Council of Wales and one of only 4 contemporary art organisations who are identified in ACW's Artform Strategies 2008-2013 as representing the core network of independent/local authority galleries in Wales.

Ffotogallery is also a respected client of Cardiff County Council and receives annual funding which is invested strategically in the gallery's growing and highly innovative education and out-reach programme.

The National Museum of Wales provide an annual management fee which enables Ffotogallery to run its extensive exhibition and community education programme at the Grade I listed Turner House Gallery in Penarth.

Statutory funding is supplemented throughout the year with grant aid from trusts and foundations, occasional sponsorship and project grants from various educational and philanthropic sources.
