A practical course for beginners to learn how to shoot and edit digital video, get the best results from a video camera and discover what makes moving images successful. Over five sessions, a combination of practical seminars, creative exercises, film screenings and group discussion introduce students to the fundamentals of video production and editing using Apple Final Cut Pro X. Suitable for absolute beginners or for individuals with some prior experience wishing to develop skills, the course covers basic technical skills such as camera operation and software editing and will foster an understanding of cinematic language to help you to develop a narrative, plan a shoot and produce a short fiction or documentary film.

NB. You will need your own video camera to do the course (this can include a Mobile Phone or DSLR with video function or Flip camera).
