Call Out for Festival Volunteers
Would you like to get involved with Diffusion?
Diffusion will be Cardiff’s first International Festival of Photography, with an ambitious and exciting programme including exhibitions, performances, events and celebrations in both physical and virtual spaces. Click here for more information.
We’re looking for enthusiastic people who are willing to give up their time and expertise to help plan and deliver the festival.
A voluntary placement could offer you valuable experience in areas such as:
· festival live guiding
· exhibition installation / de-installation
· administration and marketing
· documentation (photographing, filming and editing)
· stewarding events
Diffusion will provide training and support and we have opportunities to suit a wide range of applicants from all backgrounds. There are no specific requirements for volunteering beside a passion for contemporary photography and a keenness to volunteer.

Education Assistant (Diffusion Internship)
Full time, £250 per week for 10 weeks
Deadline: 7 April 2013
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to assist the Education Programme for Diffusion Festival.
The main responsibilities include co-ordinating workshop practicalities and assisting workshops; supporting live guides; organising and delivering festival tours; managing online content; booking events; undertaking any other front of house or administrative duties to ensure smooth running of the festival education programme.
The ideal candidate must have a degree level qualification in photography or other art subject, and knowledge of/interest in the visual arts and in particular photography and other lens based media. They will also have previous teaching/education assisting experience, excellent interpersonal skills and organisational ability, and be flexible and work well within a team. The ability to communicate in Welsh and a mature understanding of Equal Opportunities are a distinct advantage.
