Artes Mundi Workshops

During 2006, Ffotogallery had the unique opportunity of partnering with Artes Mundi, to produce a series of large-scale photographic images with participants from St Mellons Daycentre.

In a unique collaboration, participants from St. Mellons Daycentre were able to work with the education teams from both Artes Mundi and Ffotogallery, to explore the meaning of colour and how this can be used to represent the self. Employing the experimental technique of painting with light, the participants created extraordinary photographic images using a variety of coloured lights and physical movements. The images formed part of a large-scale exhibition at The National Museum of Wales, in 2007.

The workshop was developed by Ffotogallery, in collaboration with Artes Mundi, The final exhibition showcases the work of St Mellons Daycentre.
