Ffotogallery has successfully run inset training days for teachers since 2000. The training offers an introduction to the Gallery and hands-on training in new digital technologies and other visual art resources. Ffotogallery has continued to maximise its resources and reach children from as wide a catchment area as possible. To facilitate this, we make professional development for teachers a priority, inviting schools from across Wales to take part.
We hosted a number of Teacher Training opportunities at our Gallery in Turner House for Careers Wales. These consisted of practical day workshops on the following subjects: Creative Digital Photography, Digital Video and Stop Frame Animation.
Teacher training can also be offered outside of the gallery and we recently provided a two day inset training workshop in stop frame animation for all art teachers in Carmarthenshire, Powys, and the North West of Wales.
