Explore the origins and impact of photography on our lives, from society and art to science, war, and a revolution in social media.  This new module examines the practice of photography and enables you to develop personal areas of study, decode an increasingly visual world of commerce and communication and transform your own photography or visual practice.

The course is delivered in a combination of lectures, discussions, tutorials, screenings, workshops and exhibition visits. Gain a deeper understanding of the medium, discuss current debates in photography and develop an informed voice – as a critic, consumer or creator of images.
