Cruising For Intellectual Mothers: Writing and Photography Workshop

In 2015 Maggie Nelson wrote about 'cruising for intellectual mothers' during her time at University. Libraries can be intimidating when we don't quite know what we are looking for; after Nelson, Mulvey and Gelder invited the participants to cruise Ffotogallery's Photography Library as a way of finding kinship, community and sustenance for their own work. This playful workshop opened a space for gentle and flirtatious enquiry offering new ways for the participants to start their own research, writing and/or photography with what - and who - the participants found between the pages.
