Join us for a performance response to the work of acclaimed Ethiopian artist and photographer Aïda Muluneh, alongside seven emerging artists from across the UK.

Curated by Paskaline Jebet, this one-night event brings together photography, fashion, body-painting, and modelling in a dynamic, multidisciplinary response to Muluneh’s powerful series The Necessity of Seeing.

The evening offers a unique glimpse into the creative process, not just its polished outcomes, but the collaborative, layered, and often messy behind-the-scenes moments that make the work possible. For one night, Ffotogallery transforms into a shared studio, where audiences are invited to witness and participate in the act of creation.

A panel discussion will follow the performance, providing space for the artists and collaborators to reflect, share insights, and open up conversation with the audience.
