Session details:

Inspired by the 1981 Women for Life on Earth march that departed from Cardiff to Greenham Common, in this workshop we looked at the intersection of Feminism, ecology and care-giving networks to support and activate a collective memory contained in and outside archives. The Women’s Peace Camp at Greenham Common was active from 1981 until 2000, and it was a women-only camp established in protest against nuclear proliferation.

During the session, participants studied material from 1981 to 1984 by Welsh photographer Marian Delyth and a Canadian photographer who was based in Wales, Raissa Page, member of Format; the first female photography agency in Britain.
