Harrison Williams: Pink Portraits 2026

  • University of South Wales 86 Adam Street Cardiff, Wales, CF24 2FN United Kingdom (map)

Pink Portraits is an annual series amplifying the LGBTQ+ community in Wales, led by the Iris Prize and Ffotogallery. For 2026, they have partnered with BBC Cymru Wales to take photographs of the LGBTQ+ individuals working there. Pink Portraits is a celebration of their identities as both members of the LGBTQ+ community and BBC staff. This follows the success of previous iterations of the project with Bad Wolf in 2025, and Transport for Wales in 2024.

This year’s Pink Portraits were taken by Harrison Williams (b.1996, Cardiff) - a multidisciplinary photographer drawn to intimate, traditional approaches that feel natural and unforced. Working primarily with natural light and hand-painted backdrops, he aims to create an environment where his subjects can relax — allowing their energy, character and individuality to become the most photogenic part of the image.
