Many Voices, One Nation Goes Online

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak the final exhibition of the Many Voices, One Nation tour, which was due to open this week at Galeri Caernarfon, has unfortunately had to be cancelled. In the absence of a physical exhibition, we’ve been working with our partners at Welsh Parliament to bring the exhibition to you at home, by featuring the work of all six commissioned artists on our Ffotoview platform.

Many Voices, One Nation is a touring exhibition, curated by Ffotogallery and the Welsh Parliament.

Commissioned by the Welsh Parliament, the exhibition forms part of the programme of events and activities to mark the first 20 years of devolution in Wales.

The exhibition uses photography and lens-based media to explore the hopes and aspirations for the future of Wales. Six artists living and working in Wales have been commissioned, incorporating photography, video and lens-based media, digital imaging, installation and mixed media. The exhibition aims to capture the richness and diversity of the geography, culture and society of Wales, and, wherever possible, encourage public participation.

The six commissioned artists are Ed Brydon, Huw Alden Davies, James Hudson, Jon Pountney, Luce+Harry and Zillah Bowes.

Many Voices, One Nation launched at the Senedd, the centre for democracy and devolution in Wales in September 2019 before touring to Aberystwyth Arts Centre at the end of 2019, and Redhouse Cymru, in Merthyr in February 2020.
