Weekly Digest - 22/6/20
Welcome to the thirteenth and final edition of Ffotogallery’s weekly digest! Over the last three months since we closed our doors, we’ve made it our priority to help you stay creative at home – through our weekly photo competition, the range of resources we provide on various online platforms, and through sharing activities from arts organisations further afield.
Although this is our last weekly update, we’ll still be in touch regularly to let you know what we’re up to, and to bring you news of upcoming opportunities and events. Our offices remain closed at the moment, but we’re still contactable via email, so get in touch on [email protected].
Online Photo Competition

Many Voices, One Nation
We hope you’ve been inspired by the six artists commissioned for Many Voices, One Nation, a touring exhibition co-curated by Ffotogallery and Welsh Parliament marking 20 years of devolution in Wales. Though the exhibition would have closed by now, the project will remain available to view online at ffotoview.org
Imagining the Nation State
In case you missed it, last week we announced that we’re proud to be partnering with Chennai Photo Biennale, with support from British Council and Wales Arts International, to provide this opportunity for photographers in Wales and India – find out more below.
SOURCE Magazine
As part of their research for future issues, photographers based in or from the UK and Ireland are invited by SOURCE to submit examples of new work, with the opportunity to meet the magazine’s editor, receive invaluable feedback and have the chance for their work to be published in the magazine.
Photo Basel Online
Join the virtual edition of Photo Basel this year, with 38 virtual viewing rooms showing over 850 artworks and 30 interviews – with the help of augmented reality, you can even display art works from the fair on your own walls at home.
DIY Pinhole Photography Project
South Wales based photographer Katie Harrington is looking for Cardiff creatives to get involved with this community art piece as part of Creative Cardiff’s ‘Our Creative Cardiff’ project. Head over to her Instagram page for more details.
