Weekly Digest - 1/6/20

Welcome to the tenth edition of Ffotogallery’s weekly digest! Whilst our offices and gallery are closed, we’re still busy working from home to bring you the latest updates, including creative activities you can take part in at home, resources you can browse online, and we’ll be sharing what arts organisations further afield have on offer.

Competition Time – Home

Congratulations to last week’s winner of our #glitch photo competition, Ania Ready (@aniaready)! Thank you to everybody who has taken the time to send in their entries.

This week’s theme - home - is inspired by photographer Ed Brydon. As someone who emigrated from North Wales to New York, Brydon had always been looking for a connection to home, and later discovered it in the form of a celebration of the Welsh heritage in the area. His project for Many Voices, One Nation titled ‘The Singing Hills’ is a portrayal of the Welsh communities in America, and their links to North Wales.

We’d like you to photograph what home is for you – it could be your physical home, or it could be an object or a person that makes you feel at home. Maybe it’s the view from your window. Don’t be afraid to experiment – and please remember to adhere to local social distancing guidelines if you plan on photographing outside.
