Winner announced for Interventions: Gallery Reset

We are delighted to announce that the winner of our recent Interventions: Gallery Reset open call in partnership with Disability Arts Cymru is Jack Moyse. We received many applications of a very high standard, and would like to thank everyone who took the time to apply.

Jack Moyse is a photographer and artist based in Swansea, South Wales. His practice focuses on societal issues such as the demonisation of migrants, ableism, and mental health.

We can’t wait to work with Jack over the next couple of months to support the experimental development of his work and to help realise his reimagination of our gallery space. Keep checking our website and social media pages for updates, and read the full announcement using the link below.

Oasis & Ffotogallery at Tafwyl 2023

We are proud to have been working on a community project in collaboration with Oasis and professional photographer Dafydd Owen. We have been delivering creative workshops exploring the basics of photography, including experimental photography, a photowalk of the local area around Oasis and a portrait studio session, to a group of refugees and asylum seekers who work with Oasis.

The images captured through the workshops will be shown in an exhibition at The Old Library in The Hayes for two weeks, as part of the Tafwyl Festival programme, with an opening event on Monday 10th July. They will also be on display at the Tafwyl Music Festival in Bute Park, Cardiff during mid July.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Ffotogallery Platform returns

If you follow our @ffotogalleryplatform account, you may have noticed we have been a bit quiet for a little while - so you’ll be pleased to know that we are relaunching the Ffotogallery Platform project next month! Artists will be invited by the Ffotogallery team and offered the opportunity to showcase their work on the account. We hope that in doing so we will be supporting artists and helping create links within the photographic and artistic community online.
