Diffusion and you

We've now concluded the October exhibitions and events for Turning Point: Diffusion 2021, and we have had overwhelmingly positive feedback for this fifth biennial edition of the festival. Our family friendly focus, community engagement projects and activity days have attracted people of all ages and walks of life, and we have built up new relationships with culturally diverse artists, individuals and communities in Newport, Cardiff and Llanelli.

Over the past month, our exhibitions have attracted visitors from within and outside Wales, and there are many wonderful stories we have shared on social media about photographed family members and student groups being inspired by artists' work and our focus on community, wellbeing and identity.

We launched this year's Festival in Cardiff, but our finale took place in Newport! Two amazing places which so welcomingly hosted the majority of our exhibitions and events this year. The Newport Finale was a grand celebration, including:

  • Zine-Making Workshops, with photographer Jude Wall and Snap Shop from Castle Emporium in Cardiff
  • Spoken-Word Poetry Hour
  • Newport / Lab Exhibition Tour & Zine Launch,
  • 'The Betrayal Cycle' Film by João Saramago projected onto The Riverfront Theatre
  • Workshop with Andy O'Rourke
  • Live music from JoJo and The Teeth

For now, it's goodbye from us, but in the coming weeks we'll be uploading some unmissable content to our website, including recordings of artist interviews, 360º tours of this year's Diffusion exhibitions, symposia and various workshops that have recently taken place. Sit back, enjoy the content and stay up-to-date with Ffotogallery's latest photography endeavours via our social media pages.
